In the next 7-10 days, perhaps more, if there are problems, you will likely see my blog go down. What is happening is I’m changing some things in preparation to further develop and expand this site.
The first thing I’m doing is changing the domain. I have the new domain and am setting up DNS and getting it to point to this site.
I have also secured a new mailbox to handle all the automated messages that get sent to all of you. I’m in the process of getting it configured correctly and then it will take the place of the old email that sends you notifications.
Then I have to change the membership software to apply to the new domain, change ALL of the URLs for ALL my posts to use the new domain (which, thankfully, there is software for or it would be a nightmare), go in to all of the apps I use and update all the records, etc.
Anyway, you get the picture.
While this is happening the site and email may go down. In fact, expect it. (I will put updates in my forum on Domina.ms if there’s any significant delays.)
I’m going to try to have it completed as seamlessly as possible but things very rarely go without a hitch. (In fact, I’m experiencing a problem already…)
Once I do all this behind-the-scenes stuff, then I can get working more on expansion., which I’m hoping you all will love.
